Häradssätter Gård is a small farm just ten minutes from the coast in Valdemarsvik. We offer accommodation with all modern amenities in the tranquil and picturesque countryside of Östergötland in southern Sweden.
Häradssätter Gård is nestled between three hills in a beautiful south slope with the lake Kyrksjön at its feet. When you see the surroundings you understand why farmers decided to settle right here of all places. In the surrounding forest you will find old oaks, moose, deer and in the sky you can see eagles, hawks and osprey.
At Häradssätter Gård, we run a farm with the ambition of becoming self-sufficient. We have vegetable crops, chickens, peacocks and in spring grazing farm animals help us keep an open landscape.
Häradssätter is a great starting point for you to explore the attractions of Östergötland and Småland. You can book our cottages on the farm for a few nights or several weeks in a row.
You can choose one of our two modern cottages that sleep six persons. The modern cottages are situated on the farm but with a bit secluded. They overlook the forest teaming with wildlife and the fields where cows graze.
You can choose to live more centrally on the farm in the cosy 18th century cottage that accommodates two comfortably (plus an other two in the sofa bed).
All cottages have free Wi-fi, TV, air conditioning and are at walking distance from the lake. The cottages can be booked per week, but during off-season (September – June) you can also book accommodation for a shorter stay. Click on the images below for availability and more information.
The lake is just a short walk away from the cottages if you want to take a swim or a boat trip to go fishing for pike or pearch. You can take the canoe for a relaxing trip. The water by the private dock is shallow and suitable even for smaller kids.
Häradssätter has many faces. The farm is not only idyllic in the summer but also beautifull on a sunny winter's day. You can book your vacation here for Christmas or Midsummer's eve. Book for a few day's a week or a few months – we will customize your stay according to your needs.

Häradssätter's history begins in the 18th century, but our history here begins in the summer of 2017 when we first visited the farm and fell in love with it. We moved here from the big city late autumn that year. We and can hardly believe our luck– to take care of the farm and continue on what previous owners have built here. Our ambition is to run a small self-suffiscient farm. We have everything we need on the farm with crops providing vegetables, chickens giving us eggs, bees supplying us with honey and the forrest providing us with wood and the possibility to hunt and fish. We love life on the farm and are convinced that if you wants to experience life in the countryside near animals and nature will too! Assi & Kim
